Prasad Ramachandra Namjoshi, Ph.D.

Profile

Prasad Namjoshi is an Indian filmmaking practitioner. His debut feature film is Rangaa Patangaa, which won the Best Film and Best Director awards at the 53rd Maharashtra State Film Awards. Video Parlour is his second feature film as a writer and director.

He has to his credit many award winning features, short films, documentaries and educational videos. He has a PhD in Mass Media and a post graduate degree in Communication Studies from the University of Pune.

He is the author of Shortcut, which won the Maharashtra State Government Literary Award, and of the translated book Pandepuran. He has also made two audio books, Making of Classics I and II, for Storytel.

As a programme executive

At E TV Marathi, he handled prime time serials as an Executive Producer from 2002 to 2004.
